Veneers
What are Dental Veneers?
Dental veneers are thin facings that are securely attached to the front surface of teeth. They can be used to improve the size, shape, and colour of teeth or the symmetry of the whole smile.
Dental veneers can be made from porcelain or from resin composite materials. And while they are made from different materials, both will match your teeth perfectly and provide you with a wonderful smile.
Porcelain veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin slices of porcelain that are bonded to the front of your tooth. The translucent properties of the porcelain veneer allow it to shine as a natural tooth does, providing you with a bright, white smile. Porcelain veneers are also resistant to stains, which is one of the best benefits, as people who choose porcelain veneers don’t have to whiten their teeth. Porcelain veneers will last a long time, from 10-15 years.
Composite resin veneers
Composite resin veneers are cheaper than porcelain veneers, however they are less resistant to staining so you will need to maintain them with regular checkups like normal teeth. They also have a shorter lifespan than porcelain veneers, with composite veneers typically lasting 4 – 8 years.
